Andrea and Rob's work sold in Crocker Art Museum Auction
Rob and Andrea were invited to participate in the 2016 annual Art Auction, the Crocker Art Museum’s biggest event of the year. In the silent auction, Rob’s image Willow was sold, and just before the close of the auction, Andrea’s image Layer Cake was the object of a bidding war and brought in over the stated value of the piece.

Andrea’s image Luminosity was purchased for the May cover of S7, a Russian Airlines travel magazine with a circulation of 100,000.
Mid-month was the annual Big Names/Small Art Auction at the Crocker Art Museum attended by over 1400 avid art collectors and enthusiasts! This fundraiser features artists’ work that can only be 12″ x 12″ or smaller and the bidding starts at twenty-five dollars. It was a really fun event where Andrea and Rob had the opportunity to meet the buyers of their two pieces. With many regional artists participating, including Gregory Kondos and Wayne Thiebaud, this is a chance to acquire something special for your home or office. If you are looking for a piece of art, Andrea and Rob highly recommend you check it out next year.

Andrea and Rob in Salon des Exclus show
The April 1 reception for the Salon des Exclus show at Yolo Arts 625 Gallery was well attended by over 135 people. The response to the originality of the four portfolios by featured artists Andrea Stone, Rob Stone, Joseph Finkleman and Michael Radin was very enthusiastic.

Rob's work featured in newspaper article
Rob was interviewed by the Davis Enterprise for a feature about his porfolio Hidden Treasure: Restoring Putah Creek.
Also, Andrea was invited to speak to the Photography Club of Davis about the genesis and development of her City Reflections project. It was a great evening with a very receptive audience.

Champagne reception at Stone Photography Gallery for Andrea's new work
The following week the Stones hosted another champagne reception for forty people to preview new work from Andrea’s recent travels to Miami and Dallas. If you would like to be included in future receptions, please contact us and you will be placed on the invitation list.
Andrea’s photograph City Landscape (Chicago 2011) will be displayed in the halls of the new MS5 German cruise ship that will launch in 2016.

Rob releases Hidden Treasure: Restoring Putah Creek portfolio at invitation-only reception
Rob and Andrea hosted an invitation-only reception for the official release of Rob’s portfolio Hidden Treasure: Restoring Putah Creek.
In addition to Putah Creek Council members, California State Senator Lois Wolk spoke about her work and commitment to the restoration effort and her appreciation of the imagery of Rob’s work.

Rob's work recognized at Pence Gallery in Davis
Rob’s image, Willow, was selected for Slice: Juried Exhibition Of Contemporary Art at the Pence Gallery in Davis. The Opening Reception was on July 10 and the show ran through August 20. Rob was awarded the Third Place Award from the 28 selected artists at a very exciting and well-attended opening.

Andrea and Rob nominated at International Color Awards
Andrea and Rob entered the International Color Awards competition and received seven nominations between the two of them. International Color Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence in color photography. This celebrated event shines a spotlight on the best professional photographers worldwide and honors the finest images with the highest achievements in color photography. The 8th Annual Jury members included captains of the industry from Christie’s, Paris; Frieze Art Fair, London; DB Agency, Milan;Clair Galerie, Munich; Edinburgh Film Festival; Art Beatus Gallery, Hong Kong; Gup Magazine, Amsterdam; and Eyestorm, London who honored Color Masters with 541 coveted title awards in 33 categories.

Andrea featured in Moroccan arts and architecture magazine
In their most recent printed edition, the Moroccan arts and architecture magazine A+E published an article about Andrea and her City Reflections project.

Rob and Andrea both selected for Crocker Art Museum permanent collection
Last summer Rob and Andrea had the privilege of having Scott Shields, Chief Curator, and Dianna Daniels, Associate Curator, from the Crocker Art Museum visit their studio and gallery. This month they were both asked for a print for the museum’s permanent collection. They selected After Spring Rain from Rob’s Close to Home project and Doorway to the Daily Diary from Andrea’s City Reflections project.
