“Enigma” and “Summer Sedge” Exhibited in the Davis Arts Center
The Stones are exhibiting two pieces in the Tsao Gallery, Davis Arts Center, for the 2019 Davis Art Studio Tour. Andrea B. Stone’s “Enigma” was taken last year in Lucerne, Switzerland. Rob Stone’s “Summer Sedge” is from the Hidden Treasure: Restoration of Putah Creek portfolio.
Stones Participate in the 2019 Davis Art Studio Tour
This is the fifth year Stone Photography Gallery will be participating in the annual Davis Art Studio Tour. The gallery will be showcasing Andrea’s new European collection and two of Rob’s black & white portfolios.

Andrea showcased in Indian photography magazine
Andrea was published in the October 2018 issue of Better Photography Magazine, India . The 10-page spread includes an extensive interview along with many images.
2018 European travels begin
Andrea and Rob are off to Europe for the next four months to photograph Andrea’s City Reflections project and Elements. They will be traveling to London, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Barcelona, with many stops in between.
Stone Photography at 2018 Crocker Museum Art Auction
The Stones were again invited to have their work be a part of The Crocker Annual Art Auction, one of the biggest events of the year for the museum. Both of their pieces were well-received. Andrea’s Architexture was in the exciting live auction. See video clip.
Stones donate to Crocker Art Museum auction
For the second year in a row Andrea and Rob donated pieces to the Crocker Art Museum’s Big Names, Small Art auction, which benefits the Crocker’s many educational programs for adults, children, teens, and their families.
Andrea honored in 2018 International Photography Awards competition
Andrea received seven Honorable Mentions in this year’s International Photography Awards competition entitled OneShot Harmony. The judges made their determinations based on the originality, creativity and excellence of execution of the submitted images. Among Andrea’s recognized photographs was this one taken in Los Angeles in 2016.
Andrea releases new work at invitation-only event
On the fourth of this month, Chris Ann Bachtel hosted an invitation-only release party for Andrea’s new work titled Jellies. The response to this event was incredibly enthusiastic. The energy of over 100 people was palpable and exceeded expectations. Thank you to Chris Ann for the work she did to make this event a reality. Leslie Hunter and her event staff did an outstanding job preparing the food, staging the building, and so competently serving such a huge crowd.
Stones participate in Davis Art Studio Tour
This was the fourth year of participation in the Davis Art Studio Tour and it was another great experience with a very receptive crowd. Thanks again to the Davis Art Center’s Mike Azevedo and Stacie Frerichs for their tireless efforts at organizing and promoting the tour.
