Stones have successful receptions for new work
Rob’s opening reception for his solo show featuring his Close to Home portfolio at Gallery 1855 had a great turn out.
Andrea’s opening reception at Carmel’s Center for Photographic Art for the International Juried Portfolio Competition was also a success with over 200 people in attendance.

Andrea has first solo show
Andrea has her first solo show featuring work from the City Reflections project at Gallery 1855 in Davis. The show will run for the entire month of December and the reception will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday December 14th.

Andrea selected for international exhibition
Andrea is one of 33 artists selected for the 2015 International Juried Portfolio Exhibition at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, CA. “Bricks And Mirrors“, from the City Reflections project, will be on display from January 10th to February 28th.

Andrea represented by Lumas Gallery
Lumas gallery, headquartered in Berlin, saw Andrea’s work when LensCulture published City Reflections last January. They contacted her in May and asked if she would be willing to license some of her images. Lumas selected six of Andrea’s images and is running 250 prints in two large sizes of each. The work is available in any number of their 30 brick and mortar galleries, on-line, and in their catalogues. They have one gallery in SoHo, one in Dubai and Moscow, and in most major cities in Europe including two galleries in Paris.

Andrea featured in Korean photography magazine
Photo+, a printed monthly photography magazine based in Seoul, South Korea, wrote to Andrea and asked if they could run a feature article on her for their August edition. They wanted to publish her photographs along with an interview about this body of work for their over 100,000 subscribers. The magazine is available for review at the Stone Photography Gallery.

Rob releases Close to Home folio
The folio for Rob’s Close To Home project was released this month and went on sale for the first time during the Davis Art Studio Tour. This folio measures 8.5″ x 11″ and includes a beautiful heavyweight cover, four pages of text with a title page, project description and a list of the eight images printed on Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique paper. Each folio is signed and hand numbered and each of the eight images is suitable for framing.

Andrea showcased in Boston's Panopticon Gallery show
Boston’s Panopticon Gallery’s is one of the oldest fine art photography galleries in the United States. Located inside Hotel Commonwealth in Boston, MA, Panopticon exhibits contemporary photography by emerging and established photographers from around the globe.
Their opening reception for the Abstract (Photo) Expressionists show was beautifully curated and well-attended. The show and Andrea’s work, in particular, received a terrific review by writer Elin Spring.

Rob and Andrea participating in Davis Art Studio Tour
Rob and Andrea are participating in the Davis Art Studio Tour on May 31st and June 1st. This event takes place every year and features the studios of local artists. Rob and Andrea have attended these tours for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed getting a peek at the spaces where art is created. The Stone Photography Gallery will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm both days, along with the 26 other participating artists. The Artery will host an Opening Reception for the tour on May 30th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and will feature a piece of art from each studio. Tickets with accompanying maps are $10.00 each and may be purchased at The Artery or at each artist’s location the weekend of the tour.
In his Close To Home project, Rob continues to develop a narrative of man’s hand in nature’s landscapes all within the confines of the city limits of Davis, California. New pictures from this project will be on display at the Stone Photography Gallery during the Davis Art Studio Tour.

Andrea's work featured on French websites
This month, two very popular French websites, La boite verte and fubiz, published works from Andrea’s City Reflections project.

Construction of new Stone Photography Gallery is completed
The construction of the new Stone Photography Gallery is finally completed. Andrea and Rob are so grateful to all the people who helped them, with special thanks to Lonnie Smithson (construction) and Max Kamber (paint).
